15th Doha Forum

Welcome to the website of the Doha Forum 2015, the established world-class event that celebrates its 15th edition this year in presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Thani , Deputy Emir who will preside over the Opening Ceremony of the Fifteenth Doha Forum and Enriching the Middle East’s Economic Future Conference where the Opening welcome speech will be presented by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al- Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior .

True to its original full title, the Forum will offer a sweeping overview of issues regarding Democracy, Development and Free Trade in the Middle – East, the Arab countries and the world. More broadly, this international meeting will discuss critical political, economic, social, financial, strategic and human matters of pressing concern for a region witnessing some of the most substantial changes in its very long History.

The international guests of honor this year will include some current Heads of State and Government. The Forum will also feature other distinguished opinion leaders, eminent political thinkers, decision – makers and members of parliament, renowned businessmen, academics, media figures and international organizations. These participants will contribute to a free, learned and stimulating debate on each of the many topics on the Forum’s agenda, with a focus on the post – Arab Spring prospects and Democratic transformation, Communal Security Issues, Human Development and Human Security; Global Economy and Energy, International Cooperation, Digital and Social Media, and Human Rights issues.

The 15th Doha Forum will be held at the Sheraton Hotel from 11-13 May, 2015. It will be attended by more than 500 participants representing over 80 countries and organizations. In addition to (18) workshops to be convened by our partners UCLA covering a multitude of international Economic and Political issues.
