HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday patronized the opening of the second annual general meeting of the heads of diplomatic, consular and representative missions in Qatar.


The meeting held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel was also attended by HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and HE the Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah.

Foreign Minister HE Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed al Attiyah honored Qatar's outstanding embassies and consulates and representatives abroad on Thursday.
Speaking at the second annual general meeting of heads of Qatar's diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad which concluded on Thursday, he said this recognition is a catalyst for embassies, consulates and representations abroad to exert more effort to promote Qatar's foreign policy and offer the best services to citizens abroad.

The second annual general meeting for heads of Qatar's diplomatic, consular and representative missions abroad concluded Thursday in the presence of HE Foreign Minister Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.


At the beginning of the closing ceremony, Dr. Al Attiyah expressed his thanks to Their Excellencies aides, ambassadors and heads of departments at the Foreign Ministry for their effort to make a success of this meeting.

DOHA: Qatar has affirmed its fraternal relations with neighboring GCC states and said yesterday that one of the major challenges its foreign policy has faced in the past three years has been the international community’s failure to solve major issues like the Syrian crisis.
Qatar also talked of the Palestinian imbroglio as another major challenge facing its foreign policy.
